SH-15 / PCL-181 — Rapid, networked 155 mm fire support
The SH-15 (PCL-181) is a modern, truck-mounted 155 mm/52-cal howitzer designed to prioritise mobility, speed of response and survivability over static battery mass. Built on a 6×6 flat-head chassis with an armoured six-person cab, the system couples automated fire-control, strapdown INS/GNSS alignment and muzzle-velocity sensing to deliver fast, accurate first shots and rapid displacement. In routine employment the system’s practical range sits in the 30–45 km bracket, while its hydraulically-stabilised mount and lightweight packaging make it well suited to brigade-level, shoot-and-scoot operations across varied terrain.
Operationally, the SH-15 emphasises dependable, networked fires—quickly receiving target data, computing a firing solution and vacating firing positions to reduce counter-battery risk. Its balance of mobility, lethality and lower life-cycle weight compared with tracked SPHs makes it an attractive option where expeditionary reach and battlefield tempo are priorities.
